Would it surprise you to know that video surveillance or closed circuit television has been in use since the 1940's? It's been used for everything from protecting homes, to solving crimes and even for putting criminals behind bars.

But who could know that one day they'd be needed inside animal shelters? An animal shelter in London, called the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, is one of the finest animal shelters in the United Kingdom.

In the London Telegraph, the 150-year-old shelter was referred to as a "regional center of excellence" for its part in taking care of abandoned animals until they're healthy enough to be adopted out to loving homes.

The kind staff at the Battersea Dogs & Cats home didn't know that they'd be needing cameras until after they'd met a resourceful pup named Red, a shelter dog with an incredible secret.

Lol! What an exceptionally clever pup! What do you think about Red's amazing abilities?
